Christmas Card 2009

Merry Christmas 2009!
This year has been one that stretched us, thats for sure! In January we moved in with Jessie's great grandparents to provide in-home care. By the end of January Nanny passed away, leaving us to care for Great Grandpa who followed her in September. We are so thankful for the time we had to spend with and love on them, and for the peace we have in knowing we'll see them again one day in heaven! To see pictures of and information on their lives check out this great page Jessie's dad, Steve, put together: www.the1buba.com/blog/2009/09/grandpa/
Jessie's parents and brother, Steve, Denise, and Anthony Cox moved to Alaska this year, as they felt God's calling them there to share the life saving love of Jesus Christ. They are loving their new life, and new home! You can follow them on their great adventure at: http://www.the1buba.com/
Mark's parents, Ed and Debra Nichols are still living in FiddleTown and still proud owners of Ed Nichols Drywall. Mark's brother, Matthew, works for them, and he and his wife Katy are living in Sacramento doing well!
Jessie's sister Angie was reciently engaged to her sweetie, Manuel, and they have set their wedding date for May 15, 2010! We are so excited for them and very happy to welcome Manuel into the family! I'll add Angie's blog address when I get my hands on it, but for now, you can follow their journey on Manuel's blog at: http://www.manuelcoelhogpm.blogspot.com/
After Nanny and Poppy passed on, we were blessed to be able to make their house our own, and we LOVE it! We enjoy living next door to Jessie's grandparents, Darold and Janet, playing on the farm, and loving all the space! :)
Caleb is getting so big! He turned two in October and is talking all the time! He loves living on the farm, riding the gator, feeding and playing with all the animals! He's such a busy boy! When he's not outside, he's taking a bath, watching a movie, playing with his toys, or reading a book. He can count to ten, sing some songs, label a few colors, and is beginning learning letters and potty training! We can't believe how smart he is, or how quickly he is growing!
Mark is still working for BelAir. With all the cutbacks, Mark's hours have deminished this year, but God has been so good to us and he still has a job, and is getting more hours than most in this economy.
Jessie is still a stay-at-home mommy and is loving every minute of it! She and Mark are getting ready to start their last semester of School of Ministry through Solid Rock Faith Center and are both enjoying it very much!
We truly hope your 2009 was blessed, and pray 2010 finds you in God's will, and His saving grace. We pray durring this season you will take time to remember why we celebrate: Jesus birth! It's because of Him we live and breathe, and have our being. Take this opportunity to accept His free gift to you this Christmas, His gift of salvation!
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
Love,
Mark, Jessie, and Caleb Dickinson

P.S. Feel free to check out our blog anytime for fun pictures and recent updates!

Christmas Time Is Here!

We got some snow this year! It stayed arround for almost a week, and Caleb LOVED playing in it. Everything looked so pretty all dusted in white, it really made it feel like Christmas time! Is it too much to ask for snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day??? :)

Sad News

Unfortuniatley I do have some sad news to give.
This last tuesday we lost our baby. Yes we are very sad. Having to go through labor and then not being able to hold and play with your new baby is very hard, but God is still good.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Your prayers give us a strength we know is nothing short of supernatural.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will gaurd your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Plilippians 4:7

New Family Photo

Caleb's Two-Year-Old Photos

Moving On to the Next Chapter

Its been a while since we've blogged, so I'll get started...

Great Grandpa went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 26 at 5:20am. Grandpa (Darold), Mark and I were all with him when he finally won his race. What an honor. The funeral was held Thursday, October 1 at 2:00pm at Solid Rock Faith Center. What a joy to celebrate his life with those who loved and appreciated him.

Now that great grandpa has moved on we're doing the same. We've been living in my great grandparents house since January of this year, and are now officially renting it from my generous grandparents and are having a lot of fun decorating and making it our home! We're enjoying being a family again, just the three of us, and enjoying our newfound freedom:).

Again, thank you all for your encouragement and support these last several months. They've truly been some of the most rewarding, and difficult time of our lives. We're so blessed to have had the time with my great grandparents that we had. We thank the Lord for the blessings that have flown down through each generation thanks to the legacy they've left behind. They will forever be loved and missed by many, but they are SO happy to be where they are now, "Singin' with the Saints" and seeing Jesus face to face!

Heaven Bound

Update on us... The last week or two has been really hard for great grandpa. Last Friday he was officially made part of Hospice care. For those of you who dont know, Hopsice assists caregivers in end of life care. Great Grandpa hasnt been eating food for several days now, and today we had to start giving him some moraphine for pain, probably due to being bed ridden and his body just shutting down now. At this point we're just trying to keep him comfortable. Today he's only been awake three times, and not for long, its hard to get any responses out of him.

Its been pretty crazy arround the house, trying to make great grandpa easily accessable so people can come to say their goodbies and so we can make him as comfortable as possible. Thank you all for your prayers and support durring this time! We know God's way is best, and we know that Great Grandpa dying is only the beginning, he gets to spend eternity with Jesus Christ because he's made him Lord of his life!

Life is so fragile, in the span of eternity our lives are so short. Where will you spend the rest of eternity? The bible says theres only two options, heaven or hell. The ONLY way to get to heaven is by accepting your a sinner, asking Jesus to be Lord of your life, and choosing to live for Him! If you die today, where are you going to spend all of eternity?
